The 1960s was a turbulent time in American history, with political assassinations, the Vietnam War and its counter-protests, and the Civil Rights movement.

Cointelpro was a counter-intelligence programme established the FBI to spy on Civil Rights leaders, and what J Edgar Hoover described as ‘radical organisations’.

They also saw cases of 3 men disappearing from Alcatraz, the kidnapping of Frank Sinatra Jnr, and murders committed by the Zodiac killer.
