What is LBRY? The LBRY network is a combination of a blockchain and a Distributed Hash Table (DHT), where the blockchain stores all the metadata and the DHT stores all the content. In case of LBRY, the blockchain is a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain with some additions to it. All content hosted on the LBRY network can have URI starting lbry:// that will be recognised by LBRY-compatible software to load the content from the network, without using centralized domain names in the URI. Well-known platforms that support LBRY are LyraWave, Odysee, Madiator and the LBRY Viewer of Pigges.
