Open with LBRYThe Great Hedge of India was built by the British Empire to combat tax evasion in the country. Along the entirety of the Inland Customs line from 1869, 2 million cubic feet of land across desert, mountains and rivers was dug up and planted with plum bushes. At 12 ft high and 14ft thick, this project changed the landscape and the makeup of the terrain. This takes landscape gardening to a whole new level.
